I have had issues with birth control in the past (minor side effects, but still not stuff I want to deal with now that I'm done having kids). My solution? My husband got a vasectomy. Funny how you don't hear that advice from these particular influencers ... and a definite sign that this "give in to the divine masculine" stuff can hide some very patriarchal messages.

Absolutely! Vasectomy is a safer option than hormonal birth control for sure.

YES omg i love the point of view you’re writing about this from. i wrote about this too but more from my perspective as an athlete who gets fed a lot of like “you should be syncing your workouts to your cycle” content. i’ve been searching on here to see if i could find anyone who shared my sentiments about it and you are only one of only TWO people i could find writing about this from a critical point of view. i was so surprised!!!!! i love the point you made about women who are post menopause/have had hysterectomies. i think to preach that our spiritual power/value as women comes from our cycle is cruel to a lot of women and it’s fucked up how many people just accept the idea without blinking and eye. thanks for the great read!!!! makes me want to start investing time into pagan practices again, i also started getting into paganism around 2021/2022!!!

I don't disagree that we have different energies throughout our cycles but saying you need to workout according to that is so counterproductive. We just started getting women in the gym to start lifting weighting. We don't need this conspirituality wellness bs in that space rn. Build that muscle, girlie!!!!

Yes. I really hate how a movement that was supposed to present spiritual alternatives to Christianity or allow us to let go of internalized shame spun into stereotype-enforcing alt-right propaganda.

Well said.
